ASIAの1st、2nd、3rdにシングルカップリング曲やカセットテープ版のみ収録曲、THEN&NOW収録曲を加え、リマスタリングを施し２枚に詰め込んだ物です。リマスタリングにより、音質はハッキリ解るほど良くなっています。が、しかし、無理に２枚に詰め込んだせいか、曲と曲の間がオリジナルに比べて明らかに短くなっており、良く聴くとフェイドとイントロがカブってる箇所もあり、余韻を楽しむ間もなくバタバタと次の曲に移ると感じです。その上、酷い事にDisc1の９曲目の３分過ぎ辺りで、音が途切れている箇所があります。オリジナル(旧CD)ではなかった事なので、リマスタリング作業中のミスかと思われます。音質は向上しているのに実にもったいない、というか、担当したエンジニアおよび関係スタッフは、もっと音楽に愛情と責任を持って丁寧で繊細な仕事をしてほしいものです。無理に２枚に詰め込むような事をせず、、ボーナストラック入りの１枚づつバラで出して欲しかったです。収録曲のクオリティには☆５つですが、以上の無神経で雑な作業に対して☆１つマイナスさせていただきました。

　既に各所で話題になっているが、Disc 1: [9] Here Comes the Feeling （ときめきの面影）の3分過ぎのあたりで、左チャンネルに数秒間、ノイズが乗ってしまっている。リマスタリング時の機材トラブルと思われる。本来であれば、シングルB面も含めた「リマスター全曲集」になるはずだったこの盤の、唯一最大の汚点になってしまった。

　このため、後に全く同じ収録曲で、Disc 1: [9] を差し替えたものが 『ASIA GOLD』 として発売し直された。ジャケットは殺風景なメンバー写真で洋盤は歌詞さえ無いが、日本盤は歌詞も対訳も追加された豪華なものになっており、内容からして、そちらをお勧めせざるを得ない。よって、点数としては 0点とさせて頂く。

　世界中から回収するのが無理なら、せめて第2ロットから差し替えるなりするべきだ。ジャケットが素晴らしいため、2つ見比べて、つい、こっちを買ってしまう人が後を絶たない。

エイジアの全盛期の３枚のアルバム（Asia,Alpha,Astra)の曲全部＋Now And Thenの曲やB面曲を集め、さらに24bitリマスタリングしたという脅威の企画盤。20周年記念に凄いものが出た（商魂逞しいとも言うが…）。はっきり言ってこの企画盤だけで正統エイジアの曲はほぼ網羅できます。これとモスクワのライブ盤を持っておけばエイジアは十分でしょう。一言文句を言わせていただければ、もっと早く出して欲しかった…。
