リーリャ・ジルベルシュタインの深い打鍵から生み出される上質の音が素晴らしい。
特にラフマニノフ3番は音数が多いため演奏もヒステリックになりがちだが、この演奏は何か懐に余裕がありしっとりとしていて魅力がある。
彼女の持ち味である健康的な力強さ、ストレートな情感、はじけるようなリズムと機敏なテクニックが生かされた演奏だ。アバド＆BPOの十全のサポートも見事だ。
2番もオーソドックスな演奏として推薦します。演奏に何か強烈な個性を求める人には多少物足りないかもしれませんが…

ラフマニノフの２曲のピアノ協奏曲。今まで有名な２番は何枚も持ってたんですが３番は初めて。
両曲とも素晴らしい演奏です。繊細さと大胆さ両方を兼ね備えた演奏です。
アバド指揮のものはシカゴ響とのものを持ってましたが、はっきり言ってこれは別格でした。

ピアノNO３は何枚か持っておりますが、グラモフォンが最初でした。後にTVでも拝見致しましたが（別な曲）、リーシャ・ジルビルシュタインは、ラフマニノフが命を削って創りあげたこの曲を、まるで「これがお手本」と言わんばかりの正確なピアノ・タッチで聴かせます。タイト・ロープを渡るように弾くデビット・ヘルフゴット（前から５列目で聴きました！）とは、まさに対極をなしています。同じ譜面でも、こうも変わるモノかー！・・・です。
