これがグラモフォンのＣＤかと疑われるほどに濁った音が出ます。
私はクラッシックを主体に５００枚に近い枚数のＣＤを持ってお
りますが、これほどに濁った音のＣＤを聞くのは初めてです。

近年シマノフスキやレーガーなど、ちょっと通好みの選曲でアイデンティティの模索をしている庄司紗矢香が、音楽家として世界へのスタートラインに立った録音がこれ。

今日のパガニーニ演奏は、リッチらのように超絶テクニックを見せ付ければＯＫだという時代は過ぎ去り、今日では超絶技巧の向こう側にある何かを取り出してこなければ敢えて演奏し世に問う意義が見い出せなくなってきているのではないだろうか。

庄司の演奏は、可憐な音色でテンポよく弾ききっているが、まだパガニーニの実像に迫るところまで喰らいついていない。
また、第二楽章は、一生懸命弾いているものパガニーニが想定した「囚人の祈り」の名演技とは程遠く、まだまだ彼女の手に余るようだ。

あと10数年の修行を積めば、この協奏曲からイロイロな表情を引き出すことが出来、退屈しないで聴けるようになるだろう。
今後に期待したい。

庄司紗矢香もパガニーニ・コンクールに優勝したので騒がれたが、冷静に聴いてみると、大したことはない。
ごくあたりまえの演奏で、これといった個性がない。
それゆえ、すぐに飽きが来る。
