このCDを聴いたときこの世にこんなに美しい音があるのか、と絶句してしまいました。特に2楽章のViolinの主旋律の美しさには言葉もありません。各楽器の奏者が最高の音色を出しています。弦楽器の音には贅肉がまったく見当たらず、低音楽器はオルガンのような響きが感じられます。まさにフランス音楽のお手本といえる名盤ではないでしょうか。幻想交響曲のＣＤは数多いですが、私の中ではダントツのNo.1です。

　非常に美しい演奏です。本来は断頭台への行進、サバトの夜の夢と標題はかなり陰湿なのですが、そんなイメージをぶっ飛ばす演奏です。このフランスオケの特徴かわかりませんが、全楽章にわたって匂いたつような弦と管のアンサンブルがあります。それが第1から第4楽章まではいい方向に出てる気がするのですが、第5楽章だけはあまりにも薄味で、正直物足りないものがあります。
　にしてもやはりこの演奏の美しさはやはり魅力的です。レコードアカデミー賞を受賞した名演をぜひ聞いてみてください。

アバド指揮シカゴ響盤を持ってますが、この演奏は、美しさはあるもののオケの力量不足は否めません。
これがフィラデルフィア管などの超一流のオケなら良かったのにと思います。
