日本のマカロニ音楽市場はキングレコード系とビクターＲＣＡ系（現ＢＭＧファンハウス）に二分されていたと言ってもいいと思います。さらに付け足すとモリコーネの代表作を始めとするメジャーな作品はＲＣＡ、バカロフやデマージなど少しばかりマニアックなものはキングという具合でした。

こちらはそのＲＣＡ系の音源のマカロニ集。マカロニブームの火付け役となった「荒野の用心棒」「夕陽のガンマンなどを始め「キルビル」にも一瞬だけ使われた「怒りの荒野」などを収録。値段からいってもマカロニ音楽の入門には最適かもしれません。

ただしこのシリーズ実は４回目のＣＤ化。98年盤はニコフィデンコの「さすらいの一匹狼」オルトラーニの「風の無法者」やモリコーネの「新夕陽のガンマン」など27曲入りだったのに、ちょっとしょぼくなったのは否めません。

キングと並び、マカロニウエスタンのベスト盤を出し続けてくれているBMG/RCA音源の編集盤。昔はお世話になりました。

収録曲中のサントラは、さすらいの口笛/荒野の用心棒/夕陽のガンマン/続・荒野の1ドル銀貨/南から来た用心棒/皆殺し無頼/怒りの荒野/情無用のコルトの８曲。続・夕陽のガンマンはサントラではありませんが、全米２位の大ヒットを記録したウーゴ・モンテネグロの「本命盤」を収録。

続・荒野の用心棒（さすらいのジャンゴ）のサントラは「究極のマカロニ・ウエスタン・サントラ主題歌大全集」に入っています。

さすらいの口笛から星空・・・まで、いいですね！マカロニウエスタンミュージック。
まさに「BEST」の名に恥じない作品集サントラ、クリント・イーストウッド、ファン歴３５年の私ですが、ジェンマの作品もたくさんありグッド。久しぶりにじっくり聞きましたがジェンマ主演、リズ・オルトラーニ楽団の「怒りの荒野」は圧巻です。素晴らしいの一言！！

価格からしても内容からしても、星５つなのですが・・・やっぱりフランコ・ネロ主演の最高傑作「続・荒野の用心棒」は楽団メインではなくヴォーカルで是非聞きたかったものですから、悪しからず。
