何が良いって、コルソ役のジョニー・デップの演技が良い。　世を拗ねているような、うらぶれた雰囲気を上手く醸し出している。　この人は本当に上手い。
全体の雰囲気も、ホラーと言うよりは耽美的で、それがまたジョニー・デップの色気と見事にマッチしている。
極上の時間を提供してくれる作品だ。

悪魔崇拝というエキセントリックなストーリーと、なにげない映像のトリックワークがよくマッチしてると思う。それぞれクセがある人物たちも、ミステリアスな空気を濃厚にしている（ナイス配役）。

そんなワールドの中、眼鏡を手放せず、流れに翻弄されるジョニー・デップ（コルソ）がしっくり馴染んでいる。影のある役が多い人ながら、"頭は切れるけど微妙にダサくて情けない男"がつくづく似合う、というかセクシーに演れる人だと思った。

が、ストーリー以外の部分の、底脈の描き方が足りない感じで、ラストはすこし意外にみえてしまった。このあたりがもうすこしきっちり出ていれば、もっと楽しめるとおもう。
とはいえ、１日のシゴトが片づいた夜、アルコールでも片手に楽しむのにはぴったりの映画かも。
