派手好き、情緒不安定で取り乱し、ついには浮気して。
でも、とびきり可愛いのです。時には優雅に裸のまま南の海を泳ぐ。
浮気は××だけど、「彼をどれほど必要としているか、誰にもわからない。」
愛は欲情とは別なところにあるのでしょうか？
この台詞は愛を知る人の心には響くはず。
孤立無援の主婦が、最愛の人を謀略から救い出します。

「彼」だから「彼女」の素晴らしさを知っているんだろうな。

トミー・リー・ジョーンズ演じる米国陸軍少佐は、核実験の測定を仕事としているのですが、精神的に不安定な妻（ジェシカ・ラング）が問題を起こし、基地を転々としていました。上司と妻が不貞を犯し、さらに核実験の被爆者を軍が隠蔽したことを公表しようとして、少佐は精神病院に送られます。しかし、妻の行動によって無事に戻るというストーリー。チェルノブイリ事故を思い出す、反戦、反核メッセージをのせた、良い作品だと思います。

顔が少し恐い感じのするトミーリー　ジョーンズ、でもこの映画では
精神的に不安定になってる奥さんを必死に支えようとする軍人を演じています。アカデミー賞を獲得したジェシカ　ラングの熱演の他にも後に押オスカーを獲得するトミー　リー　ジョーンズの演技も見て欲しいと思います。
　大きな権力に対して戦おうとする夫妻の愛にも心うたれると思います。
