   人生に行き詰まりつつあるサラリーマンの逸見（内野聖陽）は、「ハル」というハンドルネームでパソコン通信を始め、やがて「ほし」と名乗る人物とのメール交換が始まる。しだいに「ほし」が女性（深津絵里）であることがわかり、彼女もまた、人生に悩みつつ日々を生きるひとりの若者であることを知る…。
   森田芳光監督が、まだメールという言葉が一般的でなかった1995年に、お互い顔も知らぬまま恋に落ちていく男女の姿を、画面いっぱいのメール文字を中心にしながら描いていくという実験的要素と、時代を先取りする卓抜したセンス（アメリカ映画『ユー・ガット・メール』よりも早い）で繰り広げていくラブストーリー。主人公ふたりがさまざまないきさつを乗り越えて、ようやく出会うラストシーン。そこでの台詞の美しさたるや！（的田也寸志）

~この映画の魅力は、遠い他人同士がネットで知り合い、ネットでしか出来ない会話を続けるなかで、知らず知らずにこころが繋がっていくことの幸福感につきると思います。
深津絵里、内野聖洋のキャラクターにも好感が持てましたし、ごくシンプルな場面を素晴らしいクライマックスに仕立てる監督の手腕にも脱帽です。
~~
この映画は男性のファンが多いようですが、それは恋やスポーツに破れ仕事に行き詰まったハルが、自分の道を見いだして再出発を図るシーンの爽快感も理由の一つかと思われます。
旧き良き時代の夢を吹っ切って、地に足をつけた生活で再出発を図る・・、こんなモチーフが現代の男性陣の共感を呼ばないはずがありませんよね。
~~
不景気なニュースばかりに囲まれて、ハルのようにさわやかな再出発を図りたいと望むお父さん達は多いはずです(^o^)。
恋愛映画としての観点でいえば、あの「タイタニック」とは対局に位置する、静かでしっとりとしたホントに素敵な映画です。ぜひお勧めします。~

内野さんと深津さんの組み合わせが新鮮で、
何気なくみた映画ですがとてもとても素晴らしかったです。
二人の出会いから、心を通わせていく過程が丁寧に描かれて
います。いろいろな悩みなんかを相談できたり、ネットの
心の交流を通じて相手に思いを寄せる、いまとなっては
よくある設定かもしれないけど当事はとても新鮮だったと
思います。
　好きなのは新幹線にのった一人と、外での一人がすれ違う
ときにお互いをしっかり見つけたところと、ラストシーン★
ラストの深津さんの表情とセリフがとにかく素晴らしいので
これをみるための作品かなって気もするくらいです。おすすめ

初めてメールをやったのは、もう１０年近く前のこと。当時は、今みたいな
インターネットじゃなくて、パソコン通信だった。
同じプロバイダ契約している者同士でメールのやり取りしてた。
文字だけの世界で繰り広げられる新鮮な出会いに夢中でメールやチャットしてた。
何故か、あの頃の方が今よりもずっと刺激的で、斬新で、毎日が新しい発見が
あったような気がするな。
メール経験者にはぜひお勧めの映画です。
