　本作の第二の特徴は、主人公が一人で成長し、一人で世界を担っていると思い上がっているような最近のアニメとはっきり異なり、「家族で見る」作品だったという点である。主人公・舞と同年代の少女だけでなく、少年である将・武蔵、幼児の岬、青年の進・明・ユキ子・国分寺、中堅の香月夫妻、壮年の小金井、老年の中森夫妻といった、あらゆる年齢層をカバーし、各にスポットを当てたエピソードで網羅されている。本作の当初の放送枠は金曜の18:00からだった。夕食時に家族が集う中、見られた作品だったのだろう。目先の派手さや意外性のみを重視するアニメではなく、家族の絆が崩壊しつつある現代において、最も求められる作品ではなかろうか？
商業主義に踊らされることのない、本当に子供たちのことを考えた良質な作品が、いつの日か蘇ることを信じたい。

子供の頃マジカルエミが好きでよくおもちゃで遊んでいた記憶はあるのですが、内容に関してはまったく覚えていなかったため、思い切ってBOXを購入してみました。
大きくなってから見てみると、主人公と将の関係ばかりを気になって見ていました。しかし、年の差もあるせいか、恋愛要素のある話が少なかったのは残念。最後まで仲の良い兄と妹というような関係に見えました。もうちょっと将が、変身後のエミに対して興味を抱いてくれていたらもっと面白くなったのでしょう。結局将の気持ちはよくわからないままでした（泣）
２巻の本編は少し寂しかったのですが、収録されていたＯＶＡはなかなか良かったです。タイトルどおり、エミ、マミ、ペルシャの三人の魔法少女たちが、勢ぞろい。セクシィーなお姿で恋バナを語っております。
それぞれの彼氏（？）も電話でのご登場！エミに関しては寂しかった気持ちも吹き飛ばしてもらえました。
結局私はこのＯＶＡをみて、もう２作品のDVD-BOXも購入したのでした。
