hideのシングルが全て収録されたアルバムです。
このアルバムを聴く時は、hideの歌い方に注目して欲しいです。
EYESLOVEYOUは女性らしい歌い方で、MISERYぐらいになってくると力強い歌い方になっています。
ROCKETDIVEではその力強い歌声にさらに磨きがかかっているように思えます。
ソロアーティストhideの軌跡が感じられる名盤です。
是非聴いてみてください!!

今日で、日本で最も偉大なミュージシャン、hideこと松本秀人が他界してから９年経ちました。
しかし、彼が創り上げた音楽たちは今も色あせる事は無く、多くの人たちに愛されています。
そんな曲たちが詰まったアルバムですから、ぜひ聴いてみてください

未発表曲も含んだ、hideのベストアルバム。
楽曲は、もちろん素晴らしい。けれど…ファンとしては複雑な気分である。
陶芸家は、一つの作品を作るのに永い時間をかける。それは、たとえ一般的には良いと評価されるものであっても、壊して、壊して、やっと納得のいくものを作って発表するためだという。

ミュージシャンも然り。たとえ大衆が評価しても、本人が納得していない作品を発表するのは意に沿わないことだろう。

このアルバムは、そういうアルバムである。未発表曲を聴けることは、ファンにとっては喜ばしいことかもしれない。しかし、それら未発表曲は、生前のhideが納得できずに封印していた曲である。たぶん、彼はこの音源化を望んではいなかったと思う。

だから、もしも自分はhideのファンであり、彼の遺志を尊重したいというのであれば、もう一つのベスト『hide BEST~PSYCHOMMUNITY~』を薦めたい。
このアルバムから未発表音源と「HURRY GO ROUND」（これもデモ音源による作品であるから、hideにとっては納得のいかない作品なのかもしれない）を除き、hideのこだわりの曲を加えた内容となっている。
収録曲も18曲と多いし、選曲センスもいいと思う。

音楽の聴き方に、ルールなどない。だから、このことをどう判断するかは人それぞれで、強制する気は全くない。ただ、上記のようなことも考えた上で、判断してもらえたらと思う。まあ、ただの音楽好きの戯言と思われても構わないが…。
