レイフォース、レイストームと続くシリーズ完結作。
侵食率という新システムと、新たな得点システム、ステージセレクト、ロックオンシステムのちょっとした改良が加えられている。
相変わらず爽快感のあるロックオン、かっこいい演出、
痺れるＢＧＭといいとこ尽くしなのですが、如何せん悪い点も…。
それは、前作のレイストームと比べてボリュームが少ないところでしょうか？
ステージ数が少ないので結構意外と早く終わってしまうんです。

全体的な評価を見ると、レイシリーズの中ではあまり評価はよくないらしいです。(スコアにもバグがあるとのこと。)
