今も続く悪魔城シリーズで、主人公がベルモンドを名乗りながら正史から抹殺された(無かった事にされた）一作です。開祖レオン、そして歴史上初めて表舞台に現れたラルフの間に存在する、初めてドラキュラと戦ったベルモンドの伝説が語られるのですが、その熱い設定とは裏腹にゲームボーイカラーというハードでは説明書以上の説得力は無いのでした。ゲーム性はGBドラキュラ伝統スタイルで操作性がきつく、ノーマルモードはワンミスが命取りというとても硬派な作り。さらに無敵モードのおかげで攻略がいまいちと言う内容。しかし音楽の使い方はシリーズ屈指の素晴らしい出来と言う鬼ッ子。シリーズの音楽が好きな人にはお薦め★五つ。リメイク嘆願運動実施中

つい最近になってソフトを入手して、遊んでみたのですが、タイトル名通りの印象を覚えま
した……。
発売された年でいえば、シリーズでも名高い月下の夜想曲と同じ年に世に送り出されたのです
から。

端的に言えば、「ショボイ」この一言に尽きます。
だって、この作品より五年も前に出されたドラキュラ伝説２のほうが、圧倒的に完成度が高い
のですから。
シリーズを通して評価の高いゲーム音楽も微妙、画面背景の書き込み具合もドラキュラ伝説２
に惨敗、ほんのちょっぴり画面をスクロールさせただけで敵キャラ復活、この敵キャラの
デザインっていうか書き込みもショボイ……。
いくらゲームボーイ作品とはいえ、もっと頑張りようがあったでしょうに。
どうにもこうにも、手抜き作品って印象がどうも否めないんですよね。

きっと、あまりの微妙さに気付いて黒歴史化（パラレル作品として葬り去った）したのでしょうね。
コナミ社も。

正直あまり目立った作品ではないが、それなりにやり込める。

難易度が極めて高く、かけだしのプレイヤーなら返り討ちに
あってしまうだろう・・・。

ＧＢ版なのでグラフィックが粗く、かつキャラが見にくい…
相変わらず武器は”ムチ”！！
これで悪魔相手にサドっ子気分を味わえること間違いナシ？
