前作とはうってかわって、謎解きとアクションに重きをおいた作品。
前作との共通点はアーク（妖精）を求めて冒険すること。ハードが
ＰＳに変わったので、今度は立体的な世界を主人公の少年（または少
女）が駆けめぐります。操作性は、慣れるまでちょっと大変ですが、
この独特の雰囲気にハマれば、まったく気になりません。
不可思議な世界観、神秘的な音楽、魅力的なキャラクター。
この３つの要素が前作「ミスティックアーク」から上手に受け継がれ
ていて良いです。
童話の世界に足を踏み入れたような、怖いような、楽しいような、
なんとも言えない雰囲気を味わってみてほしいです。おすすめです。

正式名は「ミスティックアーク-まぼろし劇場-」。スーパーファミコンで出た前作・「ミスティックアーク」の続編・・・ではなく、完全にオリジナルストーリー。ファンタスティックなアドベンチャーゲームです。
共通するのはプレイヤーがアーク（精霊）達の力を借りて、道を切り開いていくという点。

ある街に、劇団一味がやってきて、プレイヤーは最初レミールとアリス、二人の少年少女のうちひとりを選択。二人とも能力やイベントが多少異なります。プレイヤーはこの劇を見に行くのですが、突然現れたシルクハットのかかし（！？）の団長により「まぼろし劇場」に連れてこられます。

劇場は様々な世界と繋がっていて、プレイヤーはそれらの世界を巡り、人助けをしたり、襲われたりします。冒険の途中!様々なアーク達と出会い（これがまたみんな個性的でかわいいんです！）「勇気」や「知」、「夢」等といった属性ごとに性格も能力も違う彼らと一緒に行動します。

だいたいは謎解きがほとんどで、はっきり言って仕掛けを解くのは難しめです。時にはアークを属性ごとに使い分け、時にはプレイヤー自身剣を振るって道を開きます。解けるとなんだかうれしいんですけど(^^)
キャラクターデザインが魅力的です。また登場する世界も、幻想世界、恐ろしい研究室、中国のような町並み、洞窟、そして舞台・・・と、様々です。

後半になると団長の予想外な展開になり、プレイヤーもまた意外な戦いに巻き込まれることに・・・。エンディングもそれぞれ違いますし、なかなか素敵なので、一度プレイしたら最後までやるべ??ですね。

ミニゲームも満載で、ボードゲームやクイズもあります。妖精達とのカードゲームで自分だけのお気に入りアークを強くして、常に一緒に行動するのもまた楽しみの一つです。実は隠れ主人公もいて、難易度もアリス→レミール→？？？？と、難しくなるので１度のプレイでは飽きません。

ただネックが操作性の悪さ。足取りが常にドッタドッタとぎこちなく、重いです。またポリゴンもたまに透けるみたいで怪しい・・・。ので、戦闘になるとちょっと動かしにくくて油断するとすぐゲームオーバーです。・・・これがストレスになるかもしれません。
おとぎ話のような世界がお好きな方にオススメします。

このゲームはPSのゲームですがSFCの同タイトルとは違ってアクションアドベンチャー的なゲームです。オープニングの映像と音楽はかなり恐怖を感じました。怖いゲームではないのですが、何だか引き込まれそうで・・・。世界観が好きな人はかなりハマルと思われます。
