初のリアル頭身という事で、発売時には賛否両論を巻き起こした、スパロボ史上でも一際異彩を放つ作品。出来自体も今イチという声が多く、やはり異端児と言えるのかもしれません。確か、敵の一般兵にも声が付いたのはこの作品からだと記憶していますが‥‥。

見所としては、ゴッドガンダム勢の初登場でしょうかね。という事はつまり、デビルガンダムも初お目見えという訳です。そういう意味で、決してシリーズ全体の中でも無視は出来ない作品ではないかと。
個人的には、レイズナー登場作品という事で嫌いではないです。

で、僕が思うこの作品最大のポイントとしては、ゴッツォ一族の登場ではないかと。と言うより、それを媒介とした多次元宇宙論（で良いのかな）のフューチャーが肝になってる感じがしますね。これを打ち出す事によって、シリーズ全体に一本の芯を通したと言うか、応用性が高まったと言うか。

『第４次』辺りからＳＦ的な要素が強まっている（因みに『第４次』から製作スタッフが衣替えしている）スパロボシリーズですが、そういう方面のテーマ性を、『新スパロボ』に於いて、作品のトーンとしてより明解にしたかったのではないか、などと想像している僕でした。

で、残念ながらそのコンセプトの打ち出しと意気込みは、作品のクオリティ面から見ると空回りしていると言わざるを得ないのですが、然しこのロジックは、後のスパロボシリーズや、スーパーヒーロー作戦に洗練された形で受け継がれていると思うのです。

そういう訳でこの『新スパロボ』は、シリーズ全体を見る上である意味エポックメイキングであり、野心的な重要作として記憶されるべきポジションを、僕の中では与えているのでした。３点ですけど‥‥。

この作品は従来のスパロボシリーズとは違いロボット達がリアルサイズになっている事が最大の特徴です。
当時はまだＴＶ放送中だったＷガンダムもゲスト参戦していて、驚きました。
戦闘アニメーションもなかなかで（今の物に比べれば見劣りしますが）各作品のロボット達の魅力を充分再現できているが、アニメシーンのON・OFFの切り替えが欲しい所（さすがに戦闘するたびに見なきゃいけないのはかったるいです）
あと個人的にロボット図鑑に登録されたロボットはなぜマップの駒のグラフィックなのかが非常に納得いかない。

ＳＲＷの歴史などでは「異端児」「挑戦的作品」と良く評価される。

リアル頭身のユニットは個人的には好き。戦闘時の読み込みが比較的遅いのが欠点と言われるので、ここに我慢の出来ない人は一考すべき。

ユニットによってはリアル頭身のド派手なエフェクトには感心させられる。

Ｇガンダム系はシャッフル同盟こそ出ないものの、シャイニング・ノーベルともにシリーズ最強だろう。「オーラバトラーの回避力とゲッターの攻撃力を兼ね備えた」と必勝本でも評されたその立ち回りは必見である。

東方不敗の設定を勝手に変えたのだけは勘弁して欲しい。

このゲーム恐らくスパロボ史上最悪の作品だと僕は思います。
ロボットは慣れてる二頭身じゃないし、ストーリーも良くわからない。
