好評の前作から３年の時を経て発売された続編。
グラフィックが格段に進化し、エフェクトも派手になった。
また前作と比べてダンジョンが広く、仕掛けも複雑になったが、
途中にデータを配置してセーブが気楽にできるように改良された。

ストーリーはサブシナリオの数を減らし、本編の物語にユーザーがより没頭できるようになっている。

前作では謎に包まれていたマザーという存在、ロックの出生などがついにこの作品で明かされるぞ。
イベントなどで大小が左右されるロックの評価システムも、前作から引き続いて登場する。

が、あまりに高額といわれた特殊武器の開発費用も、ゲームのパワーアップによって（？）
前作とは比較にならないほど上がった・・・（汗

ロールにたっぷりと資金を貢ち?ことになるから、未プレイの人は覚悟しておくように（笑

ところで本作品のエンディングテーマは、自分としては全ロックマンシリーズ中、もっともいい曲だと思っている。
あれは泣けた・・・

人気アクションシリーズ、ロックマンの3Dアクション作品です。
といっても、外伝的なもので、設定もろもろ本家ロックマンとは違います。

さすがロックマンといいますが、システムそのものは良く出来ています。

今で言うところのロックマンゼロのような、独特のシナリオ、
そして、リアルタイム描写の3Dモデルをアニメのように演技させるデモなど、
アクションそのもの以外にも見るべきところの多い良作。

この頃から、カプコンの作品は一風変わったシナリオが多くなった気がします。

たった二作で終わらせてしまうのはもったいない作品だと私は思います。
今の高スペックハードで、美しくなったリメイク作品や続編を密かに心待ちにしています。
