CDからモンスターを再生するという、全く新しいアイデアも然ることながら、
他のあらゆる箇所まで作りこまれていて楽しめる名作。

ゲームのメインの１つである育成はとても分かりやすく、
能力値が数値化されているため仕事や修行を繰り返して強くなっていることが実感しやすいです。
大会で出場されるモンスターにも個性があり、この敵に対してはこの技で攻撃しよう、
などという戦略を立てながら戦うことができとても楽しめます。

絶妙な対戦バランスも大きな魅力の一つ。
ベニヒメソウ等、一部で強すぎるモンスターはいるものの、
それでもかなりのバランスが設定されているためどのモンスターでも勝つ可能性は大きくあります。
また、運とテクニックの反映されるバランスも絶妙であり、
初級者が上級者に勝つことも珍しいことではありません。
どちらもとても楽しめる設定となっています。

そして魅力的なキャラクター性を持つモンスター達。
全２１５体それぞれに細かい設定が用意されています。
特にモノリスやガリなど、他のゲームにはなかなか見られないシュールかつ、クールなモンスターは一押し。
仕草や成長の過程など、育成し始めて初めてわかる魅力も満載です。

プレイしたことのない方は、是非、プレイしてみてください！

CDからモンスターを再生し、育成、戦闘するゲーム。

非常に奥が深い。
フラフィックはPS初期作品とは思えないような精度を誇り、215種類ものモンスターが存在する。
そしてその全てが姿形、成長適性、技、寿命などにおいて異なる要素を持っている。
育て方の工夫次第では∞の遊び方があり正に千差万別という表現が相応しいだろう。
続編も沢山出ているが、この「1」を超えているのは「2」一本だけではないだろうか。
まずはこのソフトを遊んで、次に「2｣に挑戦するのが一番オススメ。

CDを読み込むまでどんなモンスターが出てくるかわからないあのドキドキ感がたまらない。
モンスターの寿命が短いような気もするが、合成というのもあるので成長を無駄にしなくていいという工夫もされている。
バトルでのモンスターの不思議でかわいい動きに魅了される。
