このゲームは、6人からなるパーティーを作り
ひたすらダンジョンに潜り続けるというだけのゲームですが
とにかくハマります。

このゲームのすごい所は、プレイヤーの分身である
冒険者達は単なる冒険者に過ぎず蘇生に失敗すると
消滅してしまい二度と生き返りません。

さらに、ダンジョンの最下層に到り目的を達成しても

レベル上げとレアアイテム集めが待っており
長く遊べます。

昔ファミコンで楽しんでいたウィザードリィがＰＳで出来るというので懐かしんで買ってみました。ゲームの内容はほぼ昔どおりで余計な華美さなどはなく、悪くないと思います。ゲームバランス的にもジャイアントにマカニトが効かない（高確率で無効化されちゃいます）のには面食らったものの、おおむね昔のファミコン版と同じような感じです。
　ただし、操作性が悪いですね。ファミコン版よりなお悪いです。
まず、ゲーム開始の時に「NEW　GAME」と「LOAD」が表示されますがカーソルは「NEW　GAME」に合ったままで、うっかりこのまま○ボタンを押すとリセットしない限り「LOAD」のところへ行けません。で、それを乗り越えてもゲームを再開するのになんだかんだで都合６回ボタンを押さないといけません。ウィザードリィはリセットなしにはそれなりに辛いゲームなので、これはいただけません。（一瞬でリスタート出来たファミコンが懐かしいです）
　更に、装備アイテムは「渡せ」ないのに「渡す」のカーソルの初期位置がここへ来ます。鑑定の時もそう。鑑定済みの品へカーソルが来ます。ファミコン版ではそのへんはうまく処理されていたと思いますが、どうしたんでしょうね。不親切です。
　反射神経が必要なゲームでもないので慎重にやればいいんでしょうが、改良版でも出すときには直して欲しいですね。
　そういった操作に関することを除けば、「ウィザードリィ」は寝食忘れて熱中出来るゲームだと思いますので、おすすめですよ。

プレステでウィザードリィをするならこれがお勧めです。
本当はファミコン版の方がもっと怖くてスリルがあったような気がしますが・・。ファミコン版はオートマッピングがなかったので。後、BGMが変わっているのは少し残念。
でも、これも十分素晴らしいです。
無駄を削ぎ落としたシステムが古さを感じさせない一品です。
