雑誌「BRIO」が企画したＡＯＲのコンピレーションアルバムです。
「OFF SHORE」との２枚セットですが、発売レーベルが異なるだけで、内容に
それほど差はありません。このアルバムも、J.D.サウザーや、ボズスギャッグス、ドウ-ビ-ブラザ-ス等の名曲が満載されています。

最近、この手の企画物が流行していますが、果たして郷愁だけでしょうか？　現在のように、アレンジで売るのではなく、この当時は曲の良さで売っており、明らかに当時の方が楽曲の水準が高いと思うのですが。

最近は年代別のコンピレーションアルバムが多くなっていますが、70~80年代の音楽というとＡＯＲを思い出される方も多いのではないでしょうか。
このアルバムは、光文社の雑誌「ＢＲＩＯ」がそんなＡＯＲに絞って編集した

アルバムです。クリストファークロス、ＪＤサウザー、ボズスギャッグズらの名曲が満載されており、70~80年代に青春を過した人には、当時の出来事が思い出されるアルバムになっています。また、素敵な曲が多いので、当時を知らない人にも、コンピアルバムということを意識しなくても素直に耳に入ってくるのではないでしょうか。

尚、姉妹アルバムに「offshore」がありますが、発売レーベルに違いがあるだけで曲調には差はありません。
