奄美の島唄とピアノのコラボレーションです。朝崎さんの唄と高橋全さんのピアノが見事にマッチしていて目を閉じると奄美大島の海が浮かんできます。特に１番最初の曲、「おぼくり~ええうみ」は深夜に放送されているアニメ「サムライチャンプルー」の挿入歌として使われた曲でゆったりとした、それでいて物悲しい・・・私の大好きな曲です。

これからの季節にもピッタリのこのCD、是非皆さんも聞いてみてください。

いろんな音楽に出会ってきました。洋楽、邦楽ジャンルを問わず様々な機会に感銘を受けてきましたが、歌詞の意味も理解出来ずに聞いた直後から涙が溢れてきた経験は、このアルバムに出会うまでありませんでした。私は都会で生まれ育った者ですが、両親は朝崎さんと同じ奄美の血が流れています。このＣＤを聞いて両親の故郷を我が心の故郷にしようと誓います！日本人が失いつつある友や肉親、生まれ育った地への慈しみを教え導いてもらえる教材と言っても言いすぎではないと思います。ありがとう、ありがとう、何度も言います。息苦しく立ち止まる時や悲しみにむせぶ時はどうかまた包み込んで下さい．．．

うわーやられた！というのが正直な感想です。沖縄ポップスから島唄と呼ばれる世界に興味を持ち色々と買いあさっていましたが。あまりにも民謡色が濃く普段聞くには適さなかったり、その反対にあまりにもＢＧＭすぎ…と思うような現代的なアレンジのものもあったりと、自分的にはハズレのＣＤが続いていた時期だけに、本当にこれに出会えて良かった！！！

彼女のうねるようなヴォーカルにピアノの伴奏がいい具合に絡みあい、夜に部屋の照明を落として聞いていると奄美の満点の星空の下に投げ出されるような錯覚を覚えます。基本的に彼女のヴォーカルとピアノの伴奏で構成されていますが中にはＵＡが参加しているリミックスバージョンもあったりと最後まで飽きさせません。エンヤ好きのかたエリィク・サティが好きな方等にも気に入っていただけるのでは？私的には今度日本に帰った時には是非奄美の地を訪れてみようと決意した一枚です
