なんでこんなにもギターの音ってせつないんだろう。なんでこんなにも山中さわおの歌声は無情に響くのだろう。ふと振り返った夏の想い出。蘇ってくるのはあの日見た風景と空しさだけ。そんな過去の孤独が歌われている。言葉では言い表せないくらい、やるせない気持ちであふれている。しかし、ただ悲愴感に身をゆだねているわけではない。どうにかしたいともがき苦しむ心が、曲のラストで叫びとなって表われてくるのだ。絶望の中に光を探している自分。その姿に、カップリングのナンバーが「焦るなよ」と優しく微笑んでくれている。 (江藤麻由) --- 2002年09月号
