岡村孝子の曲は昔から好きだったのだが、他のアーティストのＣＤを購入することで財政的に無理があり、今日まで彼女のアルバムを購入することが出来なかった。

ようやく余裕が出てきたところに、デビュー２０周年を記念するアルバムが発売されたと知り、迷わず購入を決めた。彼女の曲調は全体的に安定しており、歌唱力についても優しさに満ち溢れ、なお且つ声量が豊富であることから、改めて彼女の努力と才能に驚かされた。

　時代に囚われることなく、影響されることもない彼女のスタンスは、今のご時世にとって貴重なものだ。男女を問わずに支持され続けられていることも当然の結果だろう。

このアルバムの特徴は、何と言っても音質の良さの一言に尽きる。既にお気付きの方もいらっしゃると思うが、実はこのＣＤは、ＣＤフォーマットとしての録音キャパシティー限界ギリギリまで音楽信号を詰め込んでいるのである。しかも、ＨＤＣＤやエンファシス、ＳＢＭなどの高音質録音技術を一切採用していないという徹底振り。正に素顔で勝負しているＣＤなのだ。

当然にアルバム本来の音質を楽しむためには、それなりのオーディオシステムが必要となる。音質に拘られる方には、最低でもマルチビットＤ／Ａコンバーター搭載のＣＤプレーヤーの使用をお勧めしたい。１ビットＤＡＣでもそこそこの音質は楽しめるが、繊細な信号まで再生出来るかどうかは疑問。ラジカセやミニコンポなどでは、とてもアルバム本来の音質は望めず、ポータブルＣＤプレーヤーなどで楽しむなど、このアルバムに対して失礼というものだ。タイトル通りの珠玉のベストアルバムなので、ここはリスナーとして、彼女からの嬉しい挑戦に喜んで応じたい。選曲、音質と、いずれも一切の手抜きの無い、今時珍しいアルバムとして購入の価値は大きい。

デビュー当時から20周年を迎えた孝子さんの2枚組みベストアルバム。
彼女自身が監修を担当し、「あみん」時代の代表曲も含まれる。
シンガーソングライターとしての彼女の足跡を辿るものであり、彼女に
とってはこれが一区切り、云わば今後に向っての句読点なのだろう。
初めて彼女の作品を聴く人には、最初にお奨めしたいアルバムである。

２０年間の努力の結晶が最強のベストアルバムとなって現れました！数あるベストアルバムの中でもこれほどの作品はなかなか無いと思います。心の芯にある何かをぎゅっと掴むような彼女の声とサウンドにどんどん吸い込まれていきます。中でも「はぐれそうな天使」と「夏の日の午後」は切なくて懐かしくて、ほろりと来てしてまいます。そして、あみんのハーモニーが復活した新曲「天晴れな青空」も必聴！
