ついに、出たか。という心境ですね、まさに。難しいことは抜きにして、文句なしに”かっこいい”作品であることには間違いなのですが、当時の録音レベルでは、これ以上は求められないものだったのかもしれません。特にショーターファンには不満があるかもしれませんが。『The Summit』は、『Meet You At The Jazz Corner Of The World』より断然こちらのほうがいいですね。スリリングでエンジョイしている臨場感が楽しめます。
Disk2の『A Night In Tunisia』は、圧巻。
