このゲームの素晴らしさは凄すぎる操作性とグラフィック、それと音楽です。SFC屈指の名作アクションゲームだと思います！
ストーリーは主人公がロボットに乗り込んで戦うという至って王道的な物ですが、そこがまたいいんです。それに、地上戦で自機が坂道でダッシュすると地面がホバーで抉れたり・・・と細かい演出にも手を抜かずに製作してくれています。音楽もいい感じにゲームを盛り上げてくれます。最近、PS2に移植されましたが、こちらを購入されることをお勧めします。はっきり言ってPS2版は駄作です。クソゲーです。SFC版に比べれば。
１９９２年の作品ですが、素晴らしい名作です！今プレイしても十分楽しめると思います。

つい先日PS2で移植されたヴァルケンですが
そちらの方をプレイするよりもこのSFC版をプレイすることをオススメします。
SFCの中でロボットアクション傑作の誉れが高いこの作品、
PS2に移植されるにあたり信じられないような劣化がなされ
旧作のファンの方が全く満足を得られないものと化しています。
もちろん初めてプレイされる方にもオススメは出来ません。

またSFC版ヴァルケンをお持ちでなくPS2版を買ったお方は是非SFC板をお買い下さい。
素晴らしい重量感、ゲームバランス、操作性、音楽を楽しめます。
手間を掛け旧作を改めてプレイする価値は大いにあります！
PS2版を初めてプレイして「流石に古いしねぇ」と中途半端に理解するより
SFC版でその良さを100%味わって頂きたいのです。

何故元のハードより明らかに性能の高いハードへ移行するのに
劣化・改悪と呼ばれても仕方がないような移植になったのか、
誠に理解に苦しみます。

　ヴァルケンシリーズの原点となる２Ｄ横スクロールアクション。スーパーファミコンにしてこのグラフィック、操作性は脅威としかいいようがありません。ヴァルケンと呼ばれる重装機兵（見た目、人型ロボット）に乗り込んで戦います。レーザーとかかっこいい武器もあるのに、パンチまでできます。足にはローラーもついていて地面をダッシュすることができ、疾走感もばっちりです。背景も地上から宇宙まであり、素晴らしいの一言。
ただほんのちょぴっり残念なところは、これだけの容量をスーファミで処理しなきゃいけないため、ステージがやや少なめです。しかしそれを補うだけの魅力がこのゲームにはあります、ストーリーまで秀逸のお勧め作品です。
