前作にあたるソウルブレイダー。
それのファンタジー色を薄め
ダークな世界観を加えた今作。
後に発売された天地創造にも
人間の闇の部分が描かれるが
これはそれを上回る。

奴隷や女の取引。人喰い人種。命の賭け事ロシアングラス。
性欲や食欲、金欲等…。
人間は何かしらの欲望を持ち
醜く争っている。

生きていく為。
という何の根拠もない理由。
欲を満たす口実に過ぎない。
それを旅で知る主人公達だが、知ったからこそ悩み
そして成長していく。

死をリアルに描いた今作。
今だからこそやってもらいたい。

まずこのゲームをやって驚かされるのは、
主人公のアクションが非常に多いと言うことです。
スライディングキック、回転アタック、武器攻撃、
その他に変身もしたりします。
背景グラフィックや独特の世界観も楽しめますし、
ストーリーも面白いです。
（隠しイベントとかもあったりします･･･^-^）

しかし一番素晴らしいのはこれらの世界観をサポートする音楽の数々でしょう。
ぜひプレイしつつ楽しみながら聞いてもらいたいと思います。

アクション面で評価する人も多いですが
クインテッドのゲームは出てくる人物の台詞とか
主人公たちにではなく、自分たちプレイヤー、「人」になげかけてきてるのでは？
と思うような重たいテーマが裏にあるのではと感じます。

主人公や同行する友達が少年少女なのに対して
奴隷制度とか町の裏事情とか現実にもありえそうなきつい現実が
あったりして、色々と考えさせられます。
ちょっとしたイベント、台詞であっても一つ一つが重たいです。
最後にはものすごい感動が待ち受けていて、涙なしにはいけません。
そして、このゲームやって本当によかったなぁって感じた瞬間でした。

ストーリーの進みは一本通行に近くて、一部の前に行った町や村に
2度と行けなくなるのでやり残しに注意しましょう。
