ドラゴンクエスト、と聞くと、ドラゴンが出てきて、魔王がいて、主人公は勇者で・・・と、もはやRPGの王道的存在をイメージします。私が今までやってきて、今もなおシリーズで一番好きなのがこのV。

だって主人公がまず勇者じゃないんですよ？！それどころか、モンスターを仲間にしてしまう、どこまでも優しい少年。今はもう「モンスターだって友」的なジャンルがすっかり定着していますが、当時「モンスター使い」という職種は珍しく、話題になりました。

少年時代から、青年時代、結婚。ヒロインも全然性格の違う二人からひとり、選ぶことに。主人公と父・パパス、ヒロインに隠された大きな秘密・・・。そして生まれる新たな子供達。かつて父・パパスと共に冒険したときのように、子供達と共に冒険す・・嬉しいものです。世代を超えたRPGです。

物語も、王権争いや、謎の宗教団体との対決・・と、予想も付かない展開だらけ。少年時代に助けた人々が、数年後大人になって協力してくれたりもします。そしてこのVほど苦労した人生を送る主人公はそういません。
私の中では今でも一番の最高傑作です。

名作、傑作と呼ばれる作品を数多く世に送り出してきたドラクエシリーズの中でも最高の作品といっても過言ではないと思います。。。

やはり主人公が勇者でないというところは大きな特徴だと思いますが、個人的にはそのあたりも好きなところです。

ストーリーも悲しいところが多くて泣きながらプレイしてました、特にパパスが死んだあたりは。。。個性が良く出ているキャラクターも多くてそれだからこそ笑えたり泣けたりするシーンも多かったと思います。
難易度も高くてボスも強いのが多いので小学生だった自分は何回も挫折しかけました。笑

でも本当にコレがドラクエだっていい切れるくらい良い物語なんで是非是非やる機会がある方はやってみてください。。

　ドラクエシリーズの中で一番好きな作品です。主人公の成長をココまで大胆に描いた作品はなかなか無いのではないでしょうか？お父さんが死んでしまったり、奴隷になったり、石になったり、結婚したり、子供が生まれたり・・・。そして何より、モンスターを仲間に出来る、という画期的なシステムには相当のめりこみました。（また、ニクイ感じに、なかなか仲間になってくれないんですよねぇ・・・。）

　PS版はやってませんが、おおいに興味をそそられます。
