PSのソフトがブレイクになりかけSFCのソフトに低迷の兆しが見えかけた頃に牧場物語の広告紹介を初めて見た段階で｢このゲームは絶対に面白い｣と確信し予約して買った思い出があります。プレイした感想はドッド絵がとても綺麗で特に｢早朝→朝→昼→夕方→夜｣の移り変わりがお見事でグラフィッカーのこだわりと苦労と愛情が伺えます。音楽も秀逸で特に｢春｣の曲が好きです。ただ、操作がやや複雑な事とどうしてもせっかちになってしまうのがネックだけどそれでも初めて遊んだ時は衝撃を受けました。それから、女の子たちと仲良くなると見られるイベントはそれぞれのキャラの個性が出ていてほのぼの。結婚して子供が２人生まれるのは初作だけ(なぜ続編は子供１人だけなの？)。あと、２年半では最高にいい結果を出すのは難しくもう２年くらいプレイできるようにして欲しかったです(でもエンディングは心が揺さぶられるほど感動しました)。個人的には全シリーズ中、最高傑作だと思うのですが意見が分かれそうですね。

スーパーファミコンで1996年に発売された作品ではあるものの
その楽しさは全く色アセていません

現在ではシリーズ化し
新しい要素を加えられた様々な続編が登場している『牧場物語』ですが
どの作品もこれといった進化がなく
追加された要素が余計であるようにさえ感じます

それはなぜか？

答えは『牧場物語』はこの初代で
ほぼ完成していたからです！

もちろん進化させる余地が無いわけではありませんが
後に発売された続編たちは少々進路を誤っているのでは？

のんびりと田舎で農場と牧場を営みながら暮らす

このことが一番純粋に楽しめる『牧場物語』は
この作品です！！

コンセプト、ゲームシステムともに良いです。シリーズが続いていったのにも納得です。ただ内容に関してですが、毎日やることが同じで機械的になってしまう点が、単調で残念な部分です。
