第1作をさらに磨きあげた続編｢ロックマン2 Dr.ワイリーの謎｣です｡

パスワードやエネルギー缶の導入､サポートマシン1,2,3号(後のラッシュに相当)と
特殊武器を巧く使いこなす必要性､攻略性の高いステージ&ボス構成が見事です｡
前作と大きく異なるのはボス攻略とステージ突破要素の幅が広くなった点ですね｡
もちろん効果抜群の特殊武器の弱点も健在で､倒しやすくなったのも事実｡
ただ､どの武器もそれなりに使えるので､慣れた人は自分のプレイに制限を設けて
やりこんでみるのも本作の楽しみ方の一つです｡

Dr.ワイリー面構成も多彩で頭をひねりながら進むやり応えにに満ちています｡
特にワイリーステージ4面のボスは単純に撃破するのとは異なる
トラップ解除のような難しさと､間違いが許されない戦略的要素に目からウロコです｡
余談ですが､本作の制作期間はたった3ヶ月(！)だった模様｡

音楽､演出ともに秀抜ながら､
後のロックマンシリーズの原点の要素を散りばめた仕上がりの高さに脱帽です｡

いくら月日が過ぎようが根強いファンを持つアクションゲーム「ロックマン」。プレイしてしてみればその理由がわかります。上達を肌で感じるゲームシステム、洗練されたサウンド・グラフィック、作りこまれたステージ構成・敵の配置。どれを取っても最高です。

本作「ロックマン２ Dr.ワイリーの謎」はロックマンシリーズ中、最も難しいタイトルとして今でもファンから手厚い支持を受けています。ロックマン未プレイの方々でも高難易度なアクションゲームは何かと言う話題になれば、大抵の場合はタイトルが挙げられます。そう、ロックマン無くしてアクションゲームの話題は語れないのです。是非ゲームを愛する全ての人にプレイして欲しい。

そうしないと、ワイリー面がほぼクリア不能になります。あのボスには苦労しました。初見では倒せないですよね。

５まではいきませんが、ロックマンの中では簡単な方だと思います。僕はどのロックマンも特殊なとこ以外はすべてロックバスターで踏破するタイプですが、２は８大ボス（懐かしい響きですねえ）にロックバスターがやたら効くので、簡単なんですね。ワイリー面は武器エネルギー残量/使用箇所が結構シビアなのでなかなか楽しめるけど、少しやりこめば全体的に楽勝ムードです。

ワイリー面前半の曲はゲーム史に残る名曲ですよね？
