　シチュエーションは楽しい。豪華客船の中で起こる殺人事件。
しかし、内容的にはこの時代的な不親切感いっぱいで、今時の
ひとにはお勧めしないが昔買ってまったく進めなかった子供が
大人になった人にはかなりおすすめ。
いろんなサイトで攻略されているので、賢くなったアタマで
殺人事件をといてみよう。

FCが好きな人にはカナリお勧めの有名ゲームです。当時のプログラマーがまじめに作っていたのか疑いたくなるような展開が必見です。

確か、オリジナルはCommodore 64版だったと記憶しています。
洋ゲーの移植ですが、移植したジャレコが叩かれることになりました。
原作はスクリーンショットしか見ていませんが、基本的にはそのまま移植しているようです。
理不尽なトラップも、メモが3つしか取れないのも、C64のゲームだと思えばなんとなく理解できます。
容疑者とのとんちんかんな会話は、翻訳レベルの問題でしょう。
ライトユーザーの多いファミコンに移植したのは失敗だったかも知れませんが、パソコンに移植していればむしろ平凡なアドベンチャーゲームとして記憶にも残らない作品になっていたと思われますし（移植版発売時には既にC64の後継機Amigaが出ていましたしね…）、ファミコンに移植したからこそ「記憶に残るゲーム」になったのだろうと思われます。
ストーリーそのものはそれなりに面白味もあり、ミステリー小説っぽさを味わえる正統派推理アドベンチャーゲームといえるでしょう。
ただ、最後の詰めがいけない。
「○ー○デ○」としか分かっていないのに、いきなり「○ロ○○」というファーストネームが突然出てきますし（ファミリーネームしか知り得ないはずのない主人公が言うのです）、明らかに過剰防衛なのに「あきらかなせいとうぼうえい」とか無茶を言い出しますし、いくらなんでも無茶すぎます。
オリジナルを忠実に再現しているのでしょうが、銃に縁のない日本国民向けにもうちょっと理解しやすい超訳をしても良かったのではないでしょうか。
まあ、責められるべきはこのゲームの移植を決めた人であって、プログラマーやデザイナーではなく、彼らは冤罪だということをご理解頂ければと思います。
