　まぼろしのレアトラックだった当時のＣＢＳソニーから発売されたカセット盤のみに収録されたファーストアルバム「青春の詩」の『青春の詩（アコーステックヴァージョン）』がＣＤ化された。

　青春の詩は、全部で４ヴァージョンがある。エレックから発売されたものでは、アルバムヴァージョン、シングルヴァージョン、朝日ソノラマから発売されたヴァージョン、そしてこのカセット収録のみのヴァージョンだ。
　このヴァージョンは、99年10月１日に限定盤で発売された４枚組ボックスの「LIKE A ROLLING STONE 1970~1974」の最後を飾る曲として初ＣＤ化されているが、安価で聴けるのはこの「ひきがたり」だけ。
　他に「風にふかれて」がクリスマスからチョイスされたのも注目したい。ライブ音源は、現在入手不可のものが収録されているところも売りだろうか？
　入門編にはむかない。むしろ２枚組ベスト「ペニーレーン」がいいだろう。

なんと言っても今となっては入手困難なライブ音源が聴けるだけでも嬉しい。特に“落陽”・・アコギ１本のこのバージョンは今聴いても震えます。他にも馴染みの曲たちがズラリ２０曲以上。若かりし頃のジャケット写真ともども楽しめます！

彼の歌声は、本当にギターの音にマッチしています。

拓郎のファースト・ライブは、ギターとハーモニカ。
斉藤哲夫の「されど私の人生」と「ともだち」は荒っぽい演奏ながら20代の彼を象徴したもの。

アルバム「人間なんて」では、「人間なんて」はもちろんですが、「ある雨の日の情景」「花嫁になる君に」で、印象的なギター・テクニックを披露してくれました。

次のアルバム「元気です」では、「旅の宿」「祭りのあと」で、しっとりとギターを聴かせてくれました。

アルバム「お伽草子」では、名曲と称してもいい「制服」「蒼い夏」をソロ演奏。

このCDの曲は、これら拓郎のアルバムから、弾き語りを選曲したもの。とりわけ、彼が尊敬するボブ・ディランの「BLOWIN’IN THE WIND」が挿入されているのが特徴。
やはり拓郎は、アコースティック・ギターが似合います。
