   2001年発表のデビュー作『ガール・トーク』、7曲入りのミニ・アルバム『アップストリーム』に続く作品で、その内容はというとこれが実に多彩。『アップストリーム』の路線を踏襲したジャム~クラブ系サウンドもあれば、オーソドックスなスタンダード・ジャズもあるといった具合で、さまざまな表情が楽しめる。
   クラブ系のセッションは田中義人、スタンダード・ジャズはピアノの吉岡秀晃がおもにサウンド・プロデュースを担当している。デビュー作に近い雰囲気はスタンダード・ジャズだが、本人はジャズに固執する気などまったくない様子で、好奇心のおもむくまま、あらゆる音楽に関心を示しており、そうしたなんでもあり状態が1枚の中に同居している点が痛快だ。ガンズ&ローゼスの<4>とビリー・ホリデイの名唱で知られる<5>をまったく同じオルガン・トリオをバックに歌っているあたりは、まさしく面目躍如といったところ。ほかにスウィング・アウト・シスター&ポール・オダフィとのコラボレーションもあって、タイトルどおりヒップでポップな作品。（市川正二）

２曲目の『Waters Of March』にひと聴きぼれ（？）をして購入しました。
スイングアウトシスターのVo.コーリンとのデュエットがとにかくキュート
で素晴らしい。感動ものです。３曲目の『マニュアル』アシッドジャジー
感がかっこいいです。そしてあのガンズアンドローゼスも歌っている『パラ

ダイスシティ』のジャズアレンジには驚きました。私的にはエリカバドゥを
彷彿させられました。渋いね。（申し訳ない。ジャケはあんまし好きじゃな
いんですけど）Akiko、歌上手い。まあ、お奨めですヨ！これは。

すごくうまいせいか、力の抜けた感じがかっこよく、
またかわいらしささえ感じる声にマッチしている。
Jazzという枠にはめて欲しくない聴きやすいアルバム。
Jazz Vocalにくじけた人も決して眠くなったりしませんよ。

すっごい聞きやすいジャズで大好きです。
この前のCDのジャケットに惚れて購入したけど、
AKIKOの声にもほれました！！
