レコード芸術に長岡鉄男さんが連載されていた頃に、音の良さで紹介された盤です。
私もこの盤は持っている訳ですが、演奏は勿論、広い空間でランパルが演奏しているというのが分かる、３次元音場と、雰囲気のある名録音です。
私の部屋で居眠りしていた友人も、この曲が掛かるや突然起きてしまったという程の名演の名録音です。

突然、アルペジオの煌きが、宝石が舞い散るように空間を満たします。
そして、万華鏡のように変容するテレマンの装飾的な旋律が、
ランパル絶頂期のＦ１マシンのようなドライヴ感で織り上げられて、軽妙なロココ世界を紡いでゆく。

ランパルが遺した三百数十枚もの録音の中でも代表的な傑作というだけでなく、
フルート音楽全体の中でもいつまでも残されるべき名盤でしょう。

ランパルはしばしば、技巧の過剰で曲を吹き飛ばす、と非難もされますが、
この曲のロココ風の装飾的で官能的な煌きは、そんな即興的な奔放さでこそ息づいている。

だた、ランパルの「華麗な音色」は、残響バランスによって捉えられない録音も多い。
デジタル録音初期のこの音源は、
残響を多くとりながら、ランパル特有の鋭いジェット音など直接音も捉えて、
ランパル・トーンが最も華麗に響くポジションを捉えています。

他方、この曲をじっくり味わうには、
音色の美感は渋いけれど、ガロワの緻密で端整に造形された演奏が素晴らしい。
トラヴェルソによる有田盤は、鄙びた響きと学究的な緻密さの中に奔放さがある。

必ずしもランパル・ファンとは言えない評者の観点からも、
この盤や、ハチャトゥリアンやC.P.E.バッハ、J.S.バッハ、タルティーニらの協奏曲、
クーラウのフルート五重奏などで炸裂する絢爛な迫力は、比類ないものです。

フルートで無伴奏って何？といった興味で買ってみましたが、珍しさも加わっているかもしれませんが、非常に面白いＣＤでした。フルートといえば桶の中で美しい旋律を奏でるといったイメージだったのですが、アレグロ、プレストとそういったテンポの速い曲が結構多く、フルートにはこういったことも出来るんだということを知りました。これでも技巧的にはあまり難しくないと冊子に書かれているので、超絶技巧のフルート曲が聞いてみたいものです。
演奏者はフルートの名手と名高いランパルで安心して聞けます。お勧めですよ。
