5.0 out of 5 stars スケールの大きさと美しさをあわせ持つ「英雄の生涯」, 2007/4/21
ヘルベルト・ブロムシュテット氏はＮ響にもたびたび客演し、
やぼったい古いドイツ風の音響だったＮ響をリフレッシュした名指揮者。
その点では、フランス音楽をも新鮮に演奏できるように訓練したデュトワと双璧です。
サンフランシスコ響に移る前にＤＥＮＯＮレーベルに録音した、ドレスデンシュータッツカペレとのＲ．シュトラウスの数々とブルックナーの交響曲。
円熟した指揮ぶりで、美しいドレスデンの音を生かしつつ、スケール感あふれた「英雄の生涯」ベスト盤です。
その後、ロンドンレーベルに録音したサンフランシスコ響との「アルプス交響曲」も素晴らしい演奏です。
