元トニートニートニー、ルーシーパールのメンバー。プリンス、シーラＥのツアーに参加してチャンスをつかむ。ルーシーパール解散後はライターとして活躍。ザ　ルーツなどに楽曲を提供。デアンジェロに書いた楽曲がグラミーを受賞する。サーディク自身もグラミー賞にノミネートをこのアルバムでされている。このアルバムはメジャーのユニバーサルからリリースされている、なので、バックのミュージシャンもかなり豪華であるのが特色＝ブランドンフィールズがサックスで参加。
アンジーストーン、デアンジェロも参加しており曲を一緒に書いている。オールドスクールのエッセンスをゴスペルベースの自分のフィルターに通して見事に洗練されたソウルミュージックを展開している。

めりはりとコマーシャルフ!ックのびしっときいた楽曲がすばらしい。

少し高音の彼の声が、妙に心地よく、はまります。
詩も、セクシーな恋の歌から、社会的なものまで、幅広く
すごい人だと思います。
BGMとしても聞けて、印象に強く残る。
かなり、はまる歌い手だと思います。
