亡くなってから半年以上が過ぎようとしている。なにも変わったわけでもないが、ジョージが音楽世界に与えた影響は計り知れないものがある。このアルバムは日本人アーティストのジョージ･ハリスン・トリビュートアルバムである。できはいい。ホフ･ディランの一曲目。沢田･研二のSomethingも聞き所十分。少しジョークも効いている。恋をするならとタックスマンはやっぱり名曲です。

ビートルズの中では、地味な印象のジョージだが、いい曲をたくさん遺している。このトリビュートアルバムは、昨年他界したジョージを愛する実力派ミュージシャンらによって、ジョージの味をうまく出している。沢田研二という人は、もっとちゃらちゃらした印象であったが、こんな幅と深みのある声を持っていたのかと、いまさらながら、感心した。

　わたしは、ビートルズ来日のころこどもだったので、ビートルズの音楽があたりまえで、それを下敷きにしたポップスの流れの中で育ったので、非常になつかしい。それは、わたしたち以後の世代すべてに通じることかもしれない。
