まさか、あのリリーズのＣＤが発売されているとは・・・
偶然見つけて思わず購入してしまいました
約２０年前にタイムスリップしてしまったような当時のジャケット写真！！
唄声もあの時のまま（当たり前か・）、でも今聴いても全然古くなく、最近の曲にはあまり無い、淡ーい恋心を唄っていて逆に新鮮さを感じてしまいます

最近のチャラチャラ音楽（否定しているわけではありません）とは違った、なぜかグッとくるものがあります
ストレス社会で疲れている心を癒してくれる一品です

アイドルは難しい。ことに、このようにけがれを知らない純粋な二人の歌声が見せる世界の成長は難しいとつくづく感じる。そのせいなのだろうか、このベストアルバムは、彼女達のシングル15枚のうち終わりの4枚が含まれていない。いわば、妖精の時期のメモリアルなのだ。勿論これはこれで良いのだろう。ヒット曲｢好きよキャプテン」を含むベストアルバムは聞いていてとても心地よい。｢遠いふるさと」から最後のシングル「シェルの涙」までは、他のベスト盤でお楽しみいただくしかないが、デビュー曲｢水色のときめき」に始まり、「KISS ME」までの極上のポップスはどれもすばらしいし、二人の世界の成長(?)を聞くのも面白い。これは蛇足だが「恋に木枯し」は風邪薬のコマーシャルソングに最適なのに使われないのが当時から不思議でならなかった。

よくもまぁこんな名曲の数々が70年代中〜後期に発表されていたんだなぁ。。。というのが最初に聞いた時の感想です。

ザ・リリーズがデビューした頃、私は小学校低学年でしたので、ほとんど記憶に残っていないのです。このCDを買った動機は『好きよキャプテン』以外の曲も聞いてみたいという軽い気持ちからでした。

『初恋にさよなら』の切ない詞と哀感漂うメロディ、『恋に木枯し』の弾けるようなリズムと絶妙なハーモニー。。。その他 シングルカットされていない『すずらんの花』、『ひと夏ぽっちの恋』、『恋のシュプール』などもアイドル歌謡全盛の良き時代を思い起こさせる名曲ですよね。
近年、ザ・リリーズは音楽活動を復活させたと聞いています。新曲はもちろん聞いてみたいですし、アイドル時代のアルバムの全CD化も実現して欲しいものです。
