This Maryland homeboy has geek glasses and a love for freewheelin' raps as sassy as Eminem. "I jerk off in my cereal/You couldn't even **** with the Grand Imperial", Edan smirks on the sideshow "Emcees Smoke Crack". The lo-fi title track, meanwhile, begins with the sound of raspberries over a human beat box. Sure, you can hear traces of hip-hop's golden 80s era plus Yes, AC/DC and James Brown, but Edan isn't content to stay still, continually finding new samples and ways of presenting his dirty, upfront, full-in-the-face, rude funk.
