「追憶」のサウンドトラック・バージョンをどれだけ探したことか。他のバージョンではだめなのだ。

学生時代(1970年代)、映画館で、冒頭でこの曲が流れ始めた途端に、まだ内容も見ないうちから涙が溢れ出てきた。今回、サントラ版を聴いて「ああこれだ」と思った。やはり涙が……。なぜなのか私にも分からない。

今回、「追憶」のサントラ版をボーナス・トラックに入れてくれたSONY MUSICに心から感謝したい。ありがとう。私には、この1曲だけでも、このCDを買う価値があった。

１９７４年に発売され全米アルバムチャート１位を記録したアルバムです。同名タイトルの映画「追憶」の主題歌を含む全１０曲。スティビーワンダー、キャロルキング、ポールサイモンなどの名曲を彼女独特の解釈で、しかも原曲を上回る完璧な歌唱を聴かせてくれます。特にスティービーワンダーの'All In Love Is Fair'は圧巻。決してBGMには成り得ない、聴く者の耳を掴んで離さない、良い意味で「高圧的」なアルバムです。間違っても車を運転しながら聴いてはいけません。事故の元です。ちなみにこのアルバムは映画「追憶」のサウンドトラックではありません。サウンドトラック盤は別に発売されていて、タイトル曲も別バージョンとなっています。

The Way We Were（追憶）が聞きたくて買いました。
シングルバージョンとサウンドトラックバージョンの両方入っています。
バーブラ・ストライサウンドは，映画「追憶」で主題歌を歌うとともに
主人公ケイティを演じています。
一見勝ち気な女性ケイティの繊細な心の内面を映し出すような名唱だと思います。
何度聞いても胸がチクチクして涙が出そうになります。
バーブラは手がきれいですね。
映画でも手が効果的な動きをしていましたが，
このCDのジャケットも艶っぽい手が準主役でしょうか。
