ストリート・ジャズの真打ちがいよいよ登場だ。元ブランキー・ジェット・シティの中村達也を中心に、東京スカパラダイスオーケストラのカトウタカシ、TOKIE、武田真治というメンツ録音されたセカンド・アルバム。ロックの狂気が余すところなく体感できる。★

元ブランキーの中村達也、メンバーを一新したソロ・ユニット、LOSALIOSとともに2年半ぶりの帰還。ベースに元RIZE、AJICOのTOKIE、サックスには武田真治、ギターにスカパラのカトウタカシ。というメンツを並べただけで聴く前に胸踊る、そんなアルバムなんてめったにありゃしない。メロディ楽器はサックスとトランペット、歌はナシ。ほとんどジャム・セッションから生まれた即興のリフをもとに、熱くて濃くてナマで生命力あふれる、シンプルなブルース、ロック、ジャズ、ファンク、ブギーな曲が全8曲。ライヴ感あふれるザラリとした音、いかがわしさスレスレのサックス、エフェクトの海を泳ぐギター、ブリブリうなるベース、それらを束ねるのはやっぱりドラムス。全員がバイプレイヤー・タイプだってことを自覚して(たぶん)、お互いの距離感を大事にしたのが、この奇跡的なバランスにつながったんだろう。熱いだけじゃないスローな曲は、オシャレなBGMにしたってこの際OK。ヘヴィだけど、ひとりよがりじゃない。 (宮本英夫) --- 2002年06月号

前作の『世界地図は血の跡』は、ブランキー・ジェット・シティのドラマーの中村達也が、様々なゲストと共に、気の向くまま、思いつくままに、叩く事によって、かっこいい音を作っているって感じ（実際は違うだろうが…）だったのに対して、今作ではきちんとしたバンドという形態をとることによって１曲１曲が分かり易く昇華されたと思う。結果的に、良くも悪くも、一インストバンドとしてまとまった感はあるが、出してる音のかっこ良さはあいかわらずで、メチャメチャかっこいいです。
