ディズニー・サントラの隠れた名盤と言われる本作、それもそのはず、ランディ・ニューマンがプロデュースとソングライティングを担当。ラグタイム、カントリー、ソフト・ロックなどカラフルな仕上がりはさすが。歌はもちろん子供だったり虫だったりですが。


内容 (「CDジャーナル・レビュー」より)

『ナイトメア・ビフォア・クリスマス』で製作のティム・バートン&ヘンリー・セレック監督と音楽のダニー・エルフマンが仲たがいし、ランディ・ニューマンの登板となったが、これが大正解。ダークな持味の『ナイトメア~』はダニーでよかったが、子供のファンタジーである本作には、とにかく“いい感じ”の曲しか書かないランディの音楽は最適だ。楽しい歌が目白押しで、これはもうハッピーになるしかない名盤。『トイ・ストーリー』『モンスターズ・インク』にランディが起用された理由がここにある。 (竹之内円) --- 2002年07月号

この映画、すごく好きなんです。簡単に言えば、いい話。でもファンタジーなんで遊び心がいっぱい。
そんな映画のサントラです。全２３曲中、ヴォーカル入りは５曲。
ほとんどインストなんで苦手な人もいるでしょう。
でも、映画音楽が好きな人にはおすすめ。あのランディー　ニューマンですからね。
この映画が好きな人にもおすすめ。楽しめるでしょう。

まだ映画を観ていない人は早く観て下さい。きっとサントラが聴きたくなるはず。
