　ネバーエンディングストーリー１作目の出来にがっかりしたエンデが率先して制作にあたったのがこの作品です。
　エンデ自身が脚本を書き、出演しています。
　原作本の挿し絵のイメージに近い映像で、メッセージも正確に伝えているのではないでしょうか。

　原作にあった「船ごっこ」のシーンなどカットされたシーンもありますが、テンポよく仕上がっています。
　このモモの評価は賛否両論ですが、エンデファンなら一度は見ておきたい１本だとお勧めします。

原作があまりにすばらしかったので、期待半分、恐れ半分で観た。しかし結果は期待はずれ。
『モモ』の中で時間節約銀行の灰色の男たちが暗躍するがこの映画でもどうやら彼らが活躍したらしい。時間という制約の中でストーリーが駆け足になったり、大切なエピソードを切り落としたりといそがしいったらありゃしない。監督のイマジネーションも普通であっと息をのむようなシーンがない。この作品エンデ自身が出演してるから彼にとっても期待した作品だったろうに。監督を変えて再度映画化されたらこりもせずに私はまた見てしまうだろう。
Amazonの五つ星評価には疑問を呈する。
