　londonで96年に結成されたpost rock band fridgeの3rd albumの再発。
　リリースはtemporary residenceから48枚目。

　今作は99年にリリースされた3rd albumと2枚のepをコンパイルして2cdでリリースされたものです。
　アプローチとしては実験的でfree jazzもあり、8beatのavantでもあるhard coreで凄く穏やかならぬ感じ。
　four tetでのKieran Hebdenは結構pop路線の音作りを心がけている感じですが、fridgeではhardかつシリアスで緊張感たっぷりです。

　この時点でここまでしっかりしたpost rockというジャンルの下地が出来ていることに驚きですが、これ以前にリリースされたとっても気になる1st・2ndに関しては、入手が非常に困難なのです。
　fridgeと比較されやすいのはmice paradeやbattles、mum、hood、m83とかになると思うので、気になるヒトはそちらも聞いてみたらよいのではないでしょうか。

　disc2のラスト2曲は未発表ぽいのでとてもレアなんです。

EPHの再発盤です。ただの再発盤ではありません。
今では手に入らないKINOSHITA TERASAKA,OF EPもついているというなんともお得なアルバムなのです。
herbertのremixも一曲収録されています。
この作品は傑作だと思います。ジャズの要素も多分にあり、リズムに乗るメロディが素晴らしい。
キエラン・へブデンの才能には脱帽です。
