☆シカゴと名プロデューサー、デヴィッド・フォスターが生んだ〈05：HARD TO SAY I'M SORRY（日本語タイトル：素直になれなくて）〉はやはり名曲中の名曲と言って良いでしょう。この「THE HEART OF CHICAGO」は１枚のアルバムとして発売されていましたが、レーベルの問題があったのかすぐに国内廃盤となり、改めて２枚のアルバムが前半、後半に分けられて発売されました。しかご、いや、しかも、その後、前後半のそれぞれの「THE HEART OF CHICAGO II」が発売され、計４枚によって、３０年、数十枚のアルバムにわたるシカゴの歴史を手軽に聞くことができるようになりました。シカゴの甘いメロディーを満喫することができます。

　このハート・オブ・シカゴはシカゴの中でもいちばんおいしい１９７６~１９８８の作品で構成されているアルバム。　昔から聞き続けているけど、いつ聞いてもいいです。もし、自分が主人公の映画を作るなら、これをサウンド・トラックに使いたいほど好きです。　自分が落ち込んでいる時は元気つけてくれ、がんばっている時は応援してくれ、いい事があった時は祝福してくれるような曲たちです。　無人島へひとりで行くなら、これ１枚頭にたたきこんでいけば、たくましくやれそうです。
