ハタチ半ばの方たちはご存知ないでしょうが、
３曲目は昔、ＴＯＹＯＴＡのＣＭで使われていました。
緑の中を車がユルリと走っていくのです。
私は当時小学生だったと思いますが、
なんて綺麗な声なんだろうと思っていました。
そこから火が点きましたね。

帰郷した北海道は雨で、車内でたまたまこのＣＤを

かけていましたが、ほんとになんてピッタリなこと！！
そのうち陽も射してきて・・・。

ジュリアのアルバムの中でも、一番好きなアルバムです。

ジュリア・フォーダムのセカンドアルバム『微笑にふれて』は
今のところ彼女の最高傑作です。

秋に聞きたい音楽はたくさんありますが、このアルバムは寒く冷たい
「冬」という季節にピッタリ合います。寒気を遮った室内には、
ジャジーな曲、そして男性のようなハスキーな声が響き渡ることでしょう。
個人的な感想ですが、ベスト盤にも収録されてあるＭ1~3より
ジャズ調のＭ410、ダンサンブルな5、このアルバムのハイライトである
Ｍ6の方が良作だと思います。

当時”８９年発売にしてはＣＤの音質が良いのも評価できます。
無理でしょうけれど、次世代フォーマット（ＳＡＣＤやＤＶＤ-Ａ）
で発売されるのなら再度購入し、聞き比べてみたいですね。

唯一残念なのは、邦題の『微笑にふれて』というタイトルが、
原題のＰＯＲＣＥＬＡＩＮ（陶磁器）とは懸け離れてしまった感がある
ことです。無論、歌詞カードが付いてくる邦盤の購入をお奨めしますが。
