結構年輩の人しか知らないかもしれないが、この「ディーヴァ」っていうのは昔のゲームのタイトルだ。某宗教的神話をモチーフにしているが、中身は宇宙を舞台にした戦略・戦術シミュレーション。といってしまえば簡単だが、このゲームの画期的なことはそんなことじゃない。90年代後半、家電メーカー各社から互換性が皆無に等しい家庭用ゲーム機が乱発されたのは覚えているだろうか。そのまた１０数年前、ファミコンが家庭用ゲーム機主流の地位を固めつつあった頃、パソコン業界においても似たような状況が起こっていた。そんな中、各パソコン専用に「共通の舞台かつ個別のシナリオ」のソフトを提供しようという企画がこの「ディーヴァ」だ。ドラゴンクエスト４という著名ゲームがあったが、云ってみればあれの各シナリオを別々のゲーム機でやらせよう、という暴挙だ。どのシナリオから始めても良く、各シナリオ同士はパスワードでデータ互換。しかしながら７本あるすべてのシナリオを一定以上進めておかないと真のエンディングには辿り着けないという、弱小ハード所有者救済ゲームだ。そんなにも昔にそんなことをしたゲームメーカーがあったのよ。もちろん今も生き残っているメーカーだがね。●●●そんなことはただの雑学なのでさておき、この曲はイイ！原曲のフレーズは確かに残っているが、ゲーム音楽だということを意識する必要は全くない。ボーカルは含まれてないので、単純に浅倉サウンドを堪能してほしい。
