まず最初に、何でこんないい映画がＤＶＤ化されないのでしょうか？未だに１万円以上もするビデオしかないなんて、変ですよね。この映画の主人公はマシュー・モディン、そしてヒロインがジェニファー･グレイです。このふたりが実に魅力的です（勿論他のキャラクター達もグッド）。努力して勝利しても、得られるのはアメリカズカップというヨットレース優勝の名誉とトロフィーだけ。そのレースに青春の全てをかけて挑む若者達。挫折を味わいながらも、再び勝利を目指し挑んでいく姿は本当にすがすがしい限りです。それに海と抜けるように青い空がなんとも表現しがたいくらい美しいです。加えて、ジェニファー･グレイがソルトレイクで開発中の帆（彼女はウォンパーと名づけてました）のテストをしているときの映像もすばらしいです。挫折を味わいながらも諦めずに挑戦し続ける姿を見ていると、なんだか励まされているようでやる気が出てきます。そしてあのラストシーンを観たら「自分もあんな青春がしたい！！」と思うこと請け合いです。この作品は知名度が低いみたいですが、お勧めの一本であることは間違いないです。

「無償の愛」といいますが「無償の名誉」のために闘い続けるヨットレース。
アメリカズカップの醍醐味です。
ヨットが分からなくても大丈夫。なんとなく解かってきます(笑）
海もとてもキレイです♪
男性を支える女性の強さが上手く出され、映画を見た後は「頑張ろう！」という気になります。
私の中で一番のお気に入り作品です！！
