　メジャー・デビュー作「BLUE BLOOD」の約１年前に発表された、インディーズ時代のフルレンス・アルバム。TOSHIの高音はこの頃が一番出ている。激しさと美しさが拮抗するサウンド、キャッチーかつダークな雰囲気… 最も X らしいアルバムである。

　インディーズだからと侮るなかれ、正直、メジャー・デビュー作「BLUE BLOOD」よりも音の分離がいい。あまり音をいじっていない為、荒っぽいが、ライヴに近い迫力がある。特に YOSHIKIのドラムの音は（メジャーも含めて）全アルバム中、最も良く原音を再現していると思う。バスドラの連打は確かにこういう音で鳴っている。

　楽曲もよく揃っている。ボクは正直、このアルバムが一番好きな曲が多い。X は最後までこのアルバムを超えられなかった… とすら思っているくらい。

　インストのオープニングに続くスピード・ナンバー「Vanishing Love」。代表曲「紅」の英語ヴァージョン。珍しい YOSHIKIと HIDEによる「Sadistic Desire」。「燃えはじめて いるぅぅうう~」というコーラスが印象的な「Phantom Of Guilt」。X の大作主義の出発点「Alive」と、非常に優れた楽曲が並ぶ。全9曲と、少なく感じるが、無駄な曲がない為、飽きずに最後まで聴け、これはこれで良い。

　何故、廃盤にしてしまったのか、理解に苦しむ。もし店頭に在庫を見つけたら、是非とも押さえて欲しい。聴いて損はないはずだ。

初めて聴いた時はビックリしましたよ。曲の凄さ、完成度の高さに。
しかしもうひとつビックリしたことがあります。
それは………
unfinishedがunfinishedな感じで終了していたからです。
後で調べてみるとその曲は未完成だったのだという。(BLUE BLOODの時に完成)
最初ッから最後までサプライズだらけのアルバムでしたよ。このアルバムは……

是非聴いてみて！！特に「I'll kill you」「vanishing love」「紅（英語）」はかなりお勧めです！！他にも「alive」「un-finished」はバラード系であり結構お勧めです！！
「sadistic disire」はインディーズverになってて良いです！！（ちなみにシングルの「silent Jealousy」のカップリングにも収録はされてますけど、そっちはリメイクで収録されております）
