スイスのスキー場からパリへ戻ってきたレジーを待っていたのは、家財一切が売り払われた空っぽの自宅と離婚する予定だった夫の死だった。夫の葬式には見知らぬ怪しい三人の男が現れ、アメリカ大使館の情報局長からは、戦時中に夫が軍資金25万ドルを横領していた事を聞かされる。全く知らなかった夫の素性に困惑したレジーはスキー場で知り合ったピーターと名乗る男性に助けを求める。金の在り処はさっぱりわからないまま、レジーは25万ドルの行方を追う男たちと共に、事件へ巻き込まれる羽目に。・・・

果たしてレジーの夫が盗んだ25万ドルはどこにあるのか。一体、誰がレジーを狙っているのか。謎に満ちたストーリーの展開には、終始ドキドキさせられっぱなしでした。ジャンルはサスペンスですが、コメデ!ィタッチでストーリーが進んでいくので、楽しく観ることができました。緊張感の後にコメディでストンと落とすところなど、テンポの良さは秀逸です。どんでん返しの連続もあって、期待は裏切らない面白さです！ジバンシーのドレスに身を包んで、ヴィトンのトランクを持って颯爽と歩く、オードリーの小悪魔的な可愛らしさ。どことなくおとぼけていても、いざとなればカッコいいケーリー・グラントの渋い紳士ぶり。２人の洒落た会話にも注目です。
