　派手でパワフルなアクション、サスペンスとミステリー。香港映画ならではの面白さと興奮を、たっぷり見せてもらった。車ごと海にダイビングして、マシンガンでの大乱戦（特に、ヘリコプターに下げた縄ばしごにつかまって、マシンガンブッ放しながら登場したシーンなんか、感激の涙もの）のあとはビルの屋根から飛び降りて、カンフーアクションもあれば、最後は生き埋めからの生還・・・　さすが秀樹は最高にカッコよかった！　ワイルドで、それでいてちょっとクールで紳士的、犯罪者には非情だけど心は優しいというヒーロー役は、まさにピッタリ。あとでＴＶ番組で裏話も聞いたが、とにかく真剣で危険なシーンへの挑戦もマジだったからこその面白さであることがよくわかる。
　さらに、ムーン・リーちゃんも可愛かったし（派手なアクションとのギャップがまたいい）、コケティッシュなエレイン・ルイも、ちょっと調子がいいけれど憎めない。リーダー・ジョンの冷静沈着さもカッコよかったなァ・・・　敵組織の女ボスもド迫力。女同士のナマ喧嘩は本当にすごかった。登場キャラクターか、それぞれ個性的で魅力があるところがいい。
　秘密諜報組織が犯罪シンジケートを壊滅させるというストーリーそのものは、単純といえば単純だけど、その中には男の友情やちょっとしたロマンスもあって、思い切り楽しめる作品になっていたと思う。映画なんて、面白ければいいじゃない、ヒーローはカッコよければいいじゃない、と思っている人には最高。ぜひ見てほしい。秀樹には、またこういうヒーロー役をやってほしいけど、日本では、こういう作品、できないのかなぁ・・・
