テクニカル系ギタリストを続々と発掘していたマーク・ヴァーニー率いるシュラプネル・レコードが1995年に送り出した激辛HMアルバムです。メンバーはテキサスを中心に活躍するギタリスト、Scott Stineを中心にEddie Head（ボーカル、ギター）、Eddie Ellis（リードボーカル）、Rob Stankiewicz（ドラム）、Derek Blakley（ベース）という構成です。

何と言ってもギタリスト好きにとってはScott Stineによる重厚でありながら変幻自在な超絶プレイが聴きどころです。どこから飛んでくるかまったく予測不能な変態フレーズの連続と、Scott Stine独特の低音弦をシゴキまくるというアクロバティックなプレイは、テクニカル系というよるグランジ／オルタナティヴ系が好きな人にとっては堪らない魅力を放っています。Bumblefoot（ロン・サール）にも通じる変態ギターの数々は、マニアにとってはご馳走の宝庫です。逆に言えば、この手のサウンドに馴染みが薄い人にとっては、強烈な音圧に窒息してしまう危険性を含んでいます。要取り扱い注意の劇薬が充満しているだけに、心して臨んでください。

ボーカルは全体的に軽くディストーションが掛かっているので、力量は不明。しかしギターはテクは冴えてます。速弾きフレーズが随所に、惜しげもなく散りばめられていて、キッズは参考になるでしょう。へヴィネス加減も適度で、聞きやすい。

ギターをメインで聴くにはオススメですが、10曲という収録数に関わらず似通った曲があるのと、構成がイマイチな点で★マイナス2です。
