爽やかなメロディだな~と思っていたのも束の間、サビになったら一転、彼ららしい弾けたパンクに。んでもってラストはなぜかレゲエ! 1曲の中にいろんな要素をギュッと凝縮したこのニュー・シングル。しかしそれとは対照的なカップリング「SPIDER」の存在がなんとも捨てがたい。ただただストレートなパンク・ロックはまさにライヴの王道。カップリングにしとくなんて……。う~ん、もったいない! ちなみに、表題曲のPVはメンバーの友達を集めてワイワイ騒ぎながら撮影したんだとか。なるほど、曲のイメージにぴったりだ。 (江藤麻由) --- 2002年06月号

前作でペンパルズを知った人に朗報！ＰＥＮＰＡＬＳの神髄はＲＯＣＫ＆ＲＯＬＬにあり。４th「ＰＡＳＴ　ＬＡＳＴ　ＳＵＭＭＥＲ」的なさわやかパンクなペンパを好きな人も、「ラヴソング」とかのポップなペンパを好きな人も満足なのでわ？アルバムも発売が決まったようです。マジで楽しみ！
